Shape Architecture from their studio in Brighton work extensively as architects in Sussex. We have undertaken work ranging from residential projects in Worthing, to Community projects in Peacehaven, East Sussex and very many residential projects in and around Brighton.
We have recently achieved planning permission for a two storey community centre in Peacehaven. This was voted for unanimously by the Lewes planning committee. The project is due to start on site in April this year and represents our largest community based project in Sussex to date and there is much local interest around the project.
As an architect in Sussex we continue to work on a broad spectrum of projects. In addition to community and residential projects we also work in the education sector in Sussex. In Brighton we have recently completed work on a nursery having previously worked to form a nursery in the adjacent building the year before.
We have completed and continue to work on a large number of residential projects in Brighton.
These are predominately extensions and conversions in Brighton and range from a small roof terrace project to large scale rear and side extensions.
In Valley Drive in Brighton we have worked with local contractor Milan Building Services to reform an existing two storey bungalow in to a modern three storey building, now characterised by large open and light internal spaces.
We have also undertaken a wide range of loft conversions in Sussex.
Working with local developers we also very often take on larger housing and apartment schemes. In Hastings and Newhaven we have recently looked at medium and large scale housing projects.
We find working as architects in Sussex compliments our work in London both in the geographical sense and also in the varying local issues. As a practice we are well qualified to offer sustainable building in Sussex and this is and area that we see constantly developing.
