Ealing Projects
Shape Architecture has started 2026 with a variety of projects in Ealing. Below we describe three of these. As ever they demonstrate the variety of project type and size that we take on.
Beaufort Close
Our first project is in Beaufort Close in a prominent Conservation Area. An excellent planning permission for a two storey side and rear extension having been granted planning permission at our first attempt. We have now moved onto the detailed and technical development of these planning drawings. The architectural set is well developed and we are working with structural engineers to design the structural scheme. We have also designed the lighting and electrical layout alongside the design of a variety of bathrooms. The next stage is to integrate this information and move towards a tender process that sees four or five Contractors providing competitive tender returns. As ever we act as our clients agents and offer support at every stage of the project. Always putting ourselves between third parties and our clients.
Park Place
Our second project is at Park Place in Ealing near Pitshanger Park. Here we are working on a charming house. The project is the transformation of the interior layout at ground, first and loft levels. No extensions. We are creating a coherent, light filled contemporary home. Extensive 3D images help our clients understand a series of design options. We have now developed the preferred option following a series of reviews and are preparing to start the detailed technical development drawings.
Layer Road
Our third project in Ealing is to a house in Layer Road near Ealing Common. An elegant house, the internal layout does not flow well. This is particularly the case at ground floor and loft levels. We have carried out the dimensional survey and are presently working through a series of design options to improve the internal flow and create a light filled contemporary interior. This includes adding more bedrooms in the loft and creating a feature stair with roof light over to access the loft.
These are three quite different projects and each very interesting as we seek to transform our clients homes.
