Brighton Roof Terrace
Shape Architecture is working on another roof terrace project in Brighton. The roof terrace exploits an existing flat roof, much like our recent roof terrace at Egremont Place in Brighton. The issue of overlooking is addressed with balustrading set back from roof edges. Access is designed to have minimal visual impact, being a low profile roof light hinged at the side. The design will be submitted to the planning authority via the Pre-App process, whereby valuable comments and advice will be received prior to submitting the full application. This has proved to be a successful planning route on many of our roof terrace projects.
