Shape Architecture is presently working on three projects in Clapham, adding to our portfolio of projects in the borough. The first project is in Elms Road and is now nearing completion. Won through competition with four other local practices.
The second project is a side infill extension and ground floor remodelling won through the recommendation of a friend of the client.
The third project is a roof terrace won on the basis of Shape Architecture’s extensive portfolio of London roof terrace projects.

Common to each of these commissions is the fact that Shape Architecture offers twenty years of experience as a chartered RIBA practice with our founding Director Jason Wren still leading the practice. The featured project is a simple side infill extension. Well conceived and elegantly detailed.
Architect for a Rear Extension Clapham
Our rear extension in Elms Road has transformed the property. Extending the kitchen and dining area at lower ground floor. In addition to this new glazed structure is a new feature stair which is enclosed in a glass box and lit with a series of LED panels. The glazed rear extension, stair, enclosure and LED panels are all read as a part of an holistic composition.
Architect for a Side Extension Clapham
Equally transforming is the addition of a side infill extension on the other side of Clapham Common in Marney Road. These projects are an effective way to create contemporary light filled interiors. The only loss being poor quality external space. The benefit is a far larger kitchen dining space that is easier to plan and has a much improved connection with the garden.

The roof extension proposed for a flat in the nearby Mysore Road has been submitted for Pre-App advice with the planning authority. An addition of outdoor amenity space to a flat, it will be of great benefit to our client.
