Brighton and Hove projects about to start on site.

This coming month Shape Architecture has two interesting projects starting on site in Brighton.  The first is in Norfolk Road where we are adding a large roof terrace to a double fronted house in a Conservation Area.  We are also adding two rear upper-level extensions and refurbishing the interior throughout.  The roof terrace will transform the way in which our clients enjoy their home.  They have a small garden at present so the addition of such a large roof terrace makes a difference.  The views towards the sea and all around are striking and the method of accessing the terrace via glass cube with one slide sliding over the other adds to a sense of drama.  The rear extensions provide elegant en-suites and walk in wardrobes to two existing bedrooms.

Our second property is in Lawrence Road in Hove.  Here we are adding a loft conversion with dormer extension and hip to gable extension.  This creates a large master suite at loft level.  At ground floor we are creating a simpler larger floor plan with the addition of a side infill extension to create a large contemporary kitchen, living and dining space.

    Brighton and Hove Planning Permissions

Both projects were granted planning permission at our first attempt.  Our experience of extensions in all forms, of roof terraces throughout Brighton and London and over 17 years of dealing with Brighton and Hove planning department has contributed to the success of these projects.

If you are considering an extension project in Brighton, please feel free to contact us at Shape Architecture at 01273 648 342 or brighton@shapearchitecture.co.uk  .  We would be happy to discuss this with you.
