Ealing Architects
Working as Architects in Ealing, Shape Architecture always has a number of projects in the borough underway. At present we have four residential projects at various stages. These are a two storey extension to a house in Beaufort Close which is in a Conservation Area. As is our refurbishment and upgrade of a large house in Layer Gardens. We are also working on a project in Park Place, Ealing which concerns the creation of a contemporary interior from a characterful cottage. Lastly we have just started on a rear extension nearby at Waldemar Avenue.
Ealing House Extensions
Works to properties in Conservation Areas can be sensitive. We often find that engaging with the planning authority through the submission of a Pre-App is a sound basis for a successful planning application. This has been the case with our projects at Beaufort Close and Layer Gardens. A Pre-App allows several design proposals to be submitted and valuable advice received often via a video call followed by a written report. This will inform the subsequent planning application.
Ealing Rear Extension
Our newest project in Ealing at Waldemar Avenue, near Walpole Park will transform the property with the simple addition of a relatively small rear extension. At present there is a three by three metre projection to the rear, adjacent to which is paved area. We will infill this gap and create a more regular interior space which will be easier and more efficient to layout. It will also be flooded with light from new rooflights and large format glazed doors giving onto the garden.
