Fulham Residential Project on Site
At Shape Architecture, working as Architects in Fulham, we recently attended a site progress meeting for our exciting local west London project. We are pleased to report that the Fulham architectural development is progressing well and on programme. The project’s comprehensive scope of work makes it a fully involved construction project with various elements of development that has allowed for a full fit out.
This project is a significant undertaking, involving several key components. The excavation of a full basement, complete with associated lightwells and an external basement staircase in the rear garden, is nearly complete, revealing impressive space and volume. Additionally, a ground floor side infill and rear extension are being created to enhance the living space, while the entire property undergoes thorough internal reconfiguration and refurbishment.
Equally impressive are the developments on the upper levels, including the addition of a second-storey extension with a secluded terrace. The introduction of rooflights has been particularly successful, flooding the stairwell with natural light and enhancing the overall ambiance. The recent site progress meeting was highly productive, with detailed designs being explored with a keen eye on interior design, which has now become a key consideration and discussion focal point. Discussions focused on incorporating design elements that cater to modern living while respecting the character of the existing structure.
