Norway Street, Portslade
Rear extension in Portslade
A small rear extension replacing an existing structure to form a new WC and Utility room. A well-constructed and well insulated space whilst small it is of great benefit to our clients. We gained planning permission and building control approval for our clients. In addition we also worked with consultants to discharge party wall issues and achieve a build over agreement with Southern Water in relation to the below ground drainage. All the time acting as our clients agents. We visit site on a regular basis to inspect the works, answer any questions and also deal with the contractor valuations.
Erroll Road, Hove
Extension in Hove
Our project in Erroll Road has started on site. The demolition phase is complete and structural steelwork is going in. One of the main features of the works is the relocation of the kitchen and the removal of the existing ceiling to reveal the pitched roof and create a dramatic vaulted space within which the new kitchen sits.
Crown Gardens, Brighton
Extension in Brighton
This is a small project that will transform our clients home. Located in one of Brighton’s narrow twittens, the house is a charming small terraced property in Crown Gardens near Brighton Station. We have obtained planning permission, produced detailed technical information and run a competitive tender process. The contractor has been selected and we have put the building contract in place. The project is due to start on site in November. The project sees the addition of a porch, the opening up of the ground floor and the incorporation of a heat pump alongside garden storage.
Palmeira Avenue, Hove
Roof terrace in Hove
A proposed roof terrace with great views. We have gone through the Pre-App process with the planning authority on this project and received a supportive Pre-App report. This is the basis for a full planning application and we now await the final decision.
New Steine, Brighton
Listed building project in Brighton
This listed building project sees the contemporary reworking of an upper floor apartment. The existing layout is opened up with the removal of several walls to create a light filled and open space.
Following the receipt of a supportive Pre-App report from the planning department we have submitted a listed building consent application which is progressing well.
Sackville Gardens, Hove
Extension in Hove
We have just started on this rear extension in Hove. Our client owns the ground floor flat and a rear extension to add another bedroom with en-suite will make a great difference.
Wilbury Road, Hove
Large rear extension in Hove
This project sees a two storey rear extension and roof terrace added to the rear elevation of this interesting property. We have submitted a Pre-App application and received a supportive report from the planning authority. The planning application has been submitted.
Upper Market Street, Brighton
Listed building project in Brighton
We have just been granted listed building consent for a range of works to this listed property. Creating a light filled interior to this elegant listed property.
Waldegrave Road, Brighton
Rear extension in Brighton
This project has just started. Located near our Rugby Road project it has much potential. We have carried out the on-site survey using our digital IMapper and have produced the set of survey plans, sections and elevation forming a measured survey. This is the starting point for all follow on work and will also form a part of any planning submission.
New Church Road, Hove
Loft conversion in Hove
We undertake many loft conversion projects in Hove. Here we are starting work on a loft conversion with dormer extension and a range of internal refurbishment including the creation of a large light filled kitchen and dining room. The project is similar to our loft conversion and ground floor extension project at Lawrence Road nearby. At present we are working up designs for cost checking by several of our local contractors.
Ship Street, Brighton
Brighton extension
Our project at Ship Street in Brighton has now been submitted for planning permission. Located off a narrow passage and next to the Brighton Hippodrome the project is an extension and reworking of a very interesting house.
As a part of the design process we submitted a Pre-App to the planning authority which explored four design options. The Pre-App report was broadly supportive of several of the options. We then met with our clients to review the recommendations and decide which design was to be developed and submitted for planning permission. The project consists of the linking of an existing vaulted basement with the ground floor and the addition of a glazed rear extension to the ground floor alongside a series of new dormers and windows to an existing loft.
