    The Survey Process

An accurate and well communicated survey is of vital importance.  Everything flows from the survey.  Shape Architecture carries out its own surveys for all our projects.  We have an IMapper laser measuring device which provides extremely accurate survey data, enabling us to survey buildings of any size or type.

As a practice, the benefit to our clients is the speed of turnaround.  It also means we gain an understanding of the building more quickly.  All of benefit to the project and ensuring an efficient process.

Once the site survey is complete we produce a series of measured survey drawings which comprise floor plans, elevations and building sections.

We will also make a 3D computer model of the existing property which will form the basis of the design process.

All of these drawings will be combined into a Measured Survey Brochure and issued to our clients.
