Brighton Side Infill Extension
Shape Architecture continues to design side infill extensions throughout Brighton and London. These represent an efficient form of extension whereby a typically underused external space is extended into to create a large light filled kitchen and dining room with a far improved connection between the interior and garden. We are working on a side infill project in Cleveland Road, Brighton at present. Having carried out the measured survey we have now designed four options which have been presented to our clients for discussion. Each option is explored with 3D computer models to communicate clearly with our clients and to best explore a variety of design ideas. The design of the roof lights will have a big impact on the quality of the space, as will the glazed doors and the relationship between the two. The floor plan is now a good size and an efficient shape in terms of laying out the kitchen and dining areas and any ancillary spaces such as utility rooms.
