Fulham Rear Extension

Planning permission has been granted for this rear extension project we are presently working on in the Alphabet streets in Fulham, and works are progressing on site.

The property presently has an old conservatory at the rear which is poorly performing.  Our clients do like the amount of glazing and connection with the garden beyond.

We are using 3D computer modelling extensively to explore a variety of glazed roof forms and this allows us to communicate clearly to the client and provide a good indication as to the nature of the space, and the quality of light.

The composition of the roof form and glazed doors is important as is the specification of the glazing.  We are looking at thin framed glazing systems once more to achieve a sense of contemporary elegance.  The glazing system must satisfy the thermal performance requirements of the building regulations.

Summary

Rear Extension, Fulham

The success of this rear extension in Fulham follows that of many others we have carried out throughout the borough, in its use of glazing to create a light filled and contemporary space.

Guide to  Extensions in Fulham

Roof glazing and glazed doors and screens are key to the success of an extension.  3D modelling at the design stage ensures that the effect of different designs can be assessed and clearly communicated early on in the design process.

Examples of  Extensions in Fulham

Our range of extensions in Fulham illustrates a wide range of uses of glazing.  Each  serves to transform the property and demonstrate the value of light and transparency.
