Hove Rear Extension

Working as Architects in Hove we are often asked to improve the flow of a home and in doing so create a design that transforms the property into a contemporary home.  This project near the seafront suffered from a confused and disjointed plan.  To resolve this, we have added a small extension with a composition of glazed bricks and glazed panels to connect the spaces in a more logical manner and better connect both physically and visually with the garden.  The interior is also re-worked such that immediately on entry a glimpse of the transformation can be had.

Summary

Brighton Extension

The success of Erroll Road is the award of planning permission for a small extension, only some 1.2 metres deep,  across the rear elevation that totally transformed the circulation within the property.  The effect is to transform the property.

Guide to Rear Extensions in Brighton

This project shows that rear extensions do not have to be large to be successful.  They should be well considered and appropriate and respond to the client’s needs.
