Brighton wrap around extension

This wrap around extension in Brighton features a green sedum roof and serves to transform the property. The composition in particular and the palette of materials have been carefully considered and the green sedum roof provides an elegant and attractive visual and sustainable asset. Key to this project as with many others of this nature is the development of the design using 3D computer models. This approach ensures clear communication with our Clients and serves to ensure a successful design which maximises the potential of the property. Internal views taken from the 3D model showed how light and views would open up the internal spaces. The project has been granted planning permission.

Summary

Wrap-around Extension, Brighton

This project is successful in demonstrating how a contemporary wrap-around extension with green sedum roof and a series of roof lights can transform a typical semi-detached home.  The wrap around extension transforms the interior layout and provides a far improved connection, both physically and visually between the interior and the extensive garden.

A Guide to Extensions

The roof form, its material covering and the shape and number of rooflights are key in determining the roof composition and the character of an extension and particularly with a large wrap around extension.

Examples of Extension Projects

We have a large portfolio of residential extension projects and common to all is the use of glazing to create light filled and contemporary interiors that are well connected to the garden beyond.
