This residential project is located in the Hanger Hill (Haymills) Estate Conservation Area in Ealing. It involves the replacement of an existing garage with a two-storey side extension that significantly enhances both ground and first floor layouts, creating generous, well-connected living spaces.

Due to the conservation area setting, the design was developed in close alignment with planning guidelines. A Pre-Application process helped shape the strategy and ensured the proposal aligned with local character and scale. The extension façade is carefully set back from the existing building line, with the new roof ridge stepped down to reduce visual impact.

Architectural detailing draws from the original property and surrounding streetscape to create a coherent and sensitive addition. The result is a thoughtfully integrated extension that adds long-term functionality and value to the home.
