This project takes a quite dilapidated office and creates a new office and apartment mixed use scheme. Located on Lower Richmond Road the project comprises an office at ground and basement levels giving onto lower Richmond road and a small house to the rear. We have added a front lightwell to the existing basement which is now flooded with light and the benefit of natural ventilation and now a pleasant additional space in which to work.

The success of this project in Putney is in the complexity of the site and brief that sees a mixed use development created on a compact corner site. Planning permission was granted at our first attempt. The permission sees the creation of a light filled two storey office giving onto Lower Richmond Road. In addition a single storey apartment is created with a separate entrance to the rear. A new lightwell was created to the basement level of the office and this benefited from our wide experience of basement projects.
