This project at Westbourne Park Villas concerns the extension and refurbishment of a Victorian semi-detached villa located within the Westbourne Conservation Area.

The design seeks to enhance the relationship between the house and garden while respecting the proportions and character of the existing building. A key aspect of the proposal is the addition of a lower ground floor rear extension, creating a larger and more coherent living space better suited to contemporary family life. The redesign of the rear elevation and fenestration introduces increased natural light and improved views onto the garden, helping to create a brighter and more open interior. At ground floor level, a new terrace and external stair provide an elegant transition between inside and outside. The staircase has been carefully integrated into the composition of the rear elevation, improving circulation and strengthening the connection with the landscaped garden beyond. As with all our projects, the design has been developed through detailed 3D modelling and a considered architectural approach, ensuring the proposal responds sensitively to both the Conservation Area setting and our client’s brief.
