Shape architecture’s two refurbishment and extension projects in Kensington are nearing completion. All that remains to do at our project in Earls Court Gardens is a small amount of decoration and the installation of feature lighting in the conservatory. At our project in Hereford Square the installation of the various items of bespoke furniture designed by Shape Architecture remain to be installed. They are now nearing completion at the joiners workshop. We have worked closely with the joinery specialist attached to the Main Contractor and have produced a series of cabinetry details at each and every junction. This close dialogue and attention to detail ensures that the cabinetry is of the very highest quality and a striking feature of the project.
Kensington Interior Design
Whilst these projects involve the construction of extensions and structural work they are very much interiors projects. Shape Architecture works with a range of interior designers in Kensington. On these projects we have taken on the role of interior design ourselves, working closely with the client. The specification of simple high quality materials forms the basis of a successful interior. At our project in Hereford Square a striking feature is the use of stone from a company called Stoneworks. They will design stone overclads for the bath and the vanity units and a variety of stone shelves and wall cladding.
