We were appointed by our clients given our reputation for transforming properties and our use of glass and transparency in our designs. Always giving a creative response to the site and brief. The brief called for a two storey extension. The design explores a considered composition of glazed panels over these two storeys which serve to flood a re-worked interior with natural light. The inside is better connected to the outside and a series of interest views are created from the minute one enters the property.

The success of this project is the amount of additional space that a two storey rear extension will add to the property allied to the careful consideration of the façade design and in particular the incorporation of glazing.

We decided to use the Pre-App process with the planning authority on this project which saw a range of design options submitted by ourselves and a detailed report received from the planning authority that will form the basis of the full planning application.
